Basics of Digital Marketing

Be Easy to find
Where is the best place to hide a dead body? Page 2 of Google. All the external marketing in the world will not help you if people can’t find you when they need you. Quality URL choice, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and updated Google My Business Listings are essential basics. Take the time to learn these basics or hire the right people to get these set up for you.
Be Easy to use
Having an easy to use website only makes sense. I dread being on a website and trying to finish the task involves a grown up version of Where’s Waldo. Sometimes you may have a lot of information you need to convey, and that’s fine, but you need to make sure all relevant information and links are readily available. You want your customers feeling happy and at ease when using your services.
Be Informative / Resourceful
Make sure you know what you’re talking about. Everyone will assume that you know the ins and outs of your business but make sure that you can explain the information in a way that your customer can understand. Having basic information available to share with your customers can make all the difference. Be prepared to answer questions and offer suggestions so they know they’re in the right hands.
We all remember the one teacher in high school who was so dry that paying attention to the lesson was worse than writing exams. Take your favorite character trait and use that to attract customers. Regardless of what it may be, put your best foot forward with your greatest strength and show your customers your worth your weight in gold.People enjoy a play on words, a pun, anything witty to catch your attention. So have some fun with it!
